Travel Across The Historical Places of Pakistan

The soil of subcontinent has been a place of attraction of many invaders since centuries. The history of Pakistan itself speaks about the ancient civilization.

For centuries to arrive, they are well maintained. Pakistan's historic locations include exceptional structures and numerous locations. You should go to places of historical and breathtaking significance when you choose to roam around Pakistan.

Its history dated back the oldest of its kind. Here one can see the ruins of Mohenjo Daro, the Kandhare art, the ancient city of Texla. Beside these, many are there to depict its history without saying a word.

Nearly every city has its own history to reveal, which never failed to attract its visitors with glory and grandeur.

City of Gardens, Lahore

A lovely place in one of the old places of Lahore is Shalimar Garden, which was first built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (1642). The garden is covered with elevated walls and a watch tower is located at all four corners. This garden is used as a special desk. In Lahore, there are numerous other museums, historical sites and many renowned mosques. Badshahi mosque, the masjid wazir khan and Lahore Fort holds special place here.

Minar-e-Pakistan, one of the most popular and historic sites in Lahore, is a unique place, and the building was constructed to recall the significance of this place. This minar is approximately 197 feet high.

City of Lights, Karachi

The city of lights, Karachi, another urban area of equal importance, is Pakistan's contemporary city on the shore of the Arabian Sea. Many attractive places include Masjid-e-tooba, which is regarded as Pakistan's most important single doom masjid there are many art galleries and bazaars, and which is also the hub of diverse sector and commerce and has a broad range of water sports.

The City of Nawabs, Bahawalpur

Noor Mahal or Noor Palace is a hundred and fifty-year-old palace in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. This palace is a landmark in history, shows the love of Nawab Subah Sadiq Muhammad khan IV for his wife when he laid the foundation of this beautiful palace. This palace was built to be the residence of Subah Sadiq and his family but, because of the Basti Maluk Shah graveyard, his spouse refused to stay there and stayed only one night. This building was later used as the guest house of the State or for the meetings.

It is a building that spans an area of 44,600 square metres and is like an Italian chateau neoclassical villa. There are 32 rooms in the double story building, 14 of them are in basement. There are also 6 verandas and 5 domes.

The Mount of The Dead

Mohenjo Daro is another lovely but one of Pakistan's historic sites. This site was founded in 1921 and has the same nature as Harappa. This is famous for the Indus Valley. Mohenjo Daro is the only place to tour for visitors from all over the globe, particularly those with a genuine feeling of historical sites. The old Mohenjo Daro houses consist of mud and burnt bricks, which created this town of architectural style.

The 10.8 cm dancing girl from the house in 1926 is the fascinating reality about Mohenjo Daro. It was the most well-known historian-archaeologist Mortimer Wheeler's sculpture. 

Wheeler said, “There is her little Baluchi-style face with pouting lips and insolent look in the eye. She’s about fifteen years old I should think, not more, but she stands there with bangles all the way up her arm and nothing else on. A girl perfectly, for the moment, perfectly confident of herself and the world. There’s nothing like her, I think, in the world.”

The city Jhelum

Rohtas Fort

Rohtas Fort in Jhelum is another classic that portrays the true traditions and cultural heritage. This fort was constructed in the 16th century by King Farid Khan of Afghanistan, also recognized as Sher Sha Suri. The building was built in 8 years, accompanied by historical and architectural style. You will be happy to see the big walls with giant doors, following the Afghan-Persian style.

The Rohtas Fort consists of twelve gates, including the names Sohail Gates, Shah Chandwali Gate, Kabuli Gate, Shishi Gate, Langar Khani Gate, Mori Gate, Khwas Khani Gate, Gatali Gat, Tulla Mori Gate, Pipawala Gate and Sar Gate. To visit Qila Rohtas, you should know the renowned places within the fort such as Haveli Man Singh, Phansi Ghat, Sohail Gate Museum, Rani Mahal, Talaqi, Shishi and Langar Khana Gates.

The City of Khyber Pass Peshawar

In Pakistan, there are many other places, such as Peshawar is one of Pakistan's most famous cities. It is at the entrance of the Khyber Pass and the primary city to the northwest. Peshawar has Pathan tribes and they all are Muslims. On the West and East ends of the city, Balahisar Forts offers access and you can travel on the Khyber Pass mountain routes.  This town is well-known for its bases, universities and schools.
