80% Of Kartarpur Project Has Been Agreed Between India And Pakistan

Lahore: Recently, the media outlet has revealed that Pakistan and India agreed to 80 per cent of the conditions of the Kartarpur Corridor project proposed by both parties in the Wagah Border meeting on Sunday. The 13 members Pakistani delegation has been resulted by South Asia Director General and Speaker of Foreign Office Dr Mohammad Faisal, while the 8-member Indian delegation has been headed by Interior Joint Secretary, SCL Das.

Dr Faisal says that before of Baba Guru Nanak's 550th centenary, both Islamabad and New Delhi would like to finalize this project. He said both sides discussed matters concerning the requirements for entry, transport, medical facilities and the duration of the stay of the Sikh pilgrims, but these details could not be published before a final accord.

The two nations are preparing another meeting to finalize the terms and conditions of implementation of the corridor project, according to the Foreign Office (FO). Islamabad repeatedly said that it is dedicated, depending upon ability and physical provisions, to accommodating the highest number of pilgrims.

The govt recently set up a senior committee to monitor plans for the inauguration of the project, including the Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and the Federal Minister Noorul Haq Qadri and Sheik Rashid.
