Govt Took Step to Curb Pollution

Multan: The latest Environment Protection Ministry's (EPD) conference agreed to set up an Environmental Protection Agency to regulate the level of pollution and causes. This project aims to fully eradicate disposal material from sewerage and air pollutants from factories in the province.

To this end it was decided that two accredited environmental laboratories should be founded by the Provincial Government of Punjab in Bahawalpur and D G Khan.

The Agency shall establish treatment facilities for filtering and cleaning waste from waste disposal plants. Under the oversight of this organization the Punjab Green Development Program will be operated by a strategic planning and execution unit. The officials also pledged to supply the necessary facilities, such as water tables and air quality, for surveillance and tracking of multiple components.
