NHA Recaptures High Value Land On N-5 Peshawar

Islamabad: A massive operation on Peshawar Road(N-5), during which seven kanal of land worth 70 million PKR were recovered by the National Highway Authority (NHA), a news source has been reported. The Federal communications minister Murad Saeed previously published guidelines on beginning this anti-encroachment drive.

According to accounts, 50 illegal constructions had been spotted to the Right-of-way (ROW) between Electrical Engineering College and Tornal.

The NHA, Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the administration of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) jointly initiated this anti-encroachment drive. The officers deleted illegal constructions, which included 10 cafes, 15 stores, 4 verandas, three steps and 18 sheds.

This operation was designed to facilitate the flow of traffic and to reduce the number of road accidents in the capital. In addition, the safe and obstructive roads will improve the route.
