Small and Medium Dams Are to Be Built by KP Government

Peshawar: A media source revealed that the govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) plans to construct small and medium dams throughout the province. An approximately 9.5 Billion PKR will be charged for the multi-dimensional plan.

In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, from 2013-2018, eight small and medium dams were constructed. The aim of these Dams was to water thousands of acres of soil throughout the province.

In the meantime, the Punjab government assigned 22.19 billion PKR to build 19 dams in Rawalpindi district in the fiscal year 2019-20.

The funds were assigned under the Annual Program for Development. Of the 19 Dams, Dadhocha Dam, as well as several water systems, were also included in the provincial government.
