Another option is to look for a small house on rent. Due to its close proximity to these institutions, Islampura is could be the best option for students. You can lease a 2-room loft and live with your friends. The rent of a 4-5 Marla house with two rooms is somewhere between PKR 15,000 – PKR 20,000.

Remember that when you rent a house, the monthly expenses for power and gas can raise your costs, something you don't need to stress over in a hostel. However, living in a hostel gives you no protection and the administration's rules are needed to be followed.

Apartments On Canal Road:

If your budget allows, Barkat Market has some 1-room flats with studio. Central Plaza and Azam Heights are two of the noticeable structures in Barkat Market. The monthly rent of a studio or 1-room flat lies between PKR 15,000 and PKR 20,000.

Hostels On Canal Road:

In Garden Town is another great place for student accommodation as many homes here have been converted into hostels due to a lot of students searching for economical hostels.

The monthly rent of one room is around PKR 10,000, though in many hostels you need to share a room and the rent comes down to PKR 7,000 – PKR 8,000.
