PM Imran Khan Today to Speak on Kashmir Solidarity in Muzaffarabad
Today, Premier Imran Khan will speak at a public rally in Muzaffarabad to clarify Pakistan's support for occupied Kashmir's inhabitants who have been held lock-in for over 40 days.
On Wednesday, he announced the plan by posting on twitter and saying that it "send a message to the world about the continuing siege of India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir by Indian occupation forces; and to show the Kashmiris that Pakistan stands resolutely with them".
Dr Mohammad Faisal, the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, told the press yesterday that premier will also deliver a policy statement on Kashmir issue.
This is the third visit by the Prime Minister in Azad Jammu and Kashmir that will take place since 5 August, when India, by means of the rushed Presidential order, dismantled the special status of occupied Kashmir and imposed a strict lockout and blackout in the region for over 40 days.
At AJK's Legislative Assembly on Independence Day, Prime Minister Imran had visited Muzaffarabad. Recently he paid his second visit On Defense Day when he visited the control line and met with the families of martyred troops and citizens who were shot to death by the Indian army.
