Great Nations Always Remember Their Martyrs: DG ISPR
The September 6 is golden chapter in Pakistan’s history, Naval chief
ISLAMABAD: Major General Asif Ghafoor, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), told great nations always commemorate their martyrs.
“Great nations always remember their martyrs…I request all Pakistanis reach out to families sacrificed their lives for the motherland,” the DG ISPR said while talking to a private news channel on Thursday.
Paying tribute to the country’s martyrs, he said: "It is not only the army that has sacrificed in the war on terror… more civilians have been killed than army personnel."
More than 81,000 security personnel have made the country's ultimate defense sacrifices, he said.
For the last 72 years, Pakistan's army has been standing with and supporting Kashmiris and will continue until they achieve their freedom, he said.
he said Unfortunately the world had not focused on solving the Kashmir problem in the past.
He said that after an atrocity by the Indian government in the occupied valley, the problem of Kashmir had become international.
On the other hand, Naval Chief said that the September 6 is golden chapter in Pakistan’s history.
Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi says that, with constant courage and determination, on September 6, 1965, our valiant army foiled the enemy's insidious act on the ground, in the air and at sea.
The naval chief said, despite little in number, our battle approach and professional expertise struck the enemy vigorously in their waters.
He said the officers and Jawans of Pakistan Navy express solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren.
