Pakistani Rupee Gains Little Against Dollar

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee won just Rs0.71 compared to the US dollar on interbank Friday, which traded at Rs157.52 compared to Rs158.23 previously closed, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) information.
However, the buying and selling of dollar in open markets at Rs157.20 and Rs158.10 were reported, according to Forex Association of Pakistan.

The SBP also reported that the euro prices of the interbank were Rs 0.75, with Rs174.20 traded, as opposed to the latest closure of Rs175.45, where the yen of the Japanese were Rs0.01 to Rs1.47 and Rs1.48 depreciated.
The UK pound exchange rate (GBP), which stood at Rs192.45 compared to the earlier closure of Rs192.16, a rise of Rs0.29 was reported.
Rs0.20 and Rs0.19, respectively trading in Rs42.87 and Rs42.00, plunged the UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal exchange rates.
