CDA To Begin Work on Islamabad Highway Today

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is now on (Wednesday) starting to improve Islamabad Highway from Koral to Rawat.
CDA will begin research from its own sources to improve safe turns in the PWD and Pakistan town. This was decided in a meeting chaired on Tuesday by the President of the CDA, in which the CDA Engineering team and SSP traffic participated. The Chairman ordered the CDA engineering wing and traffic police to travel the region and to suggest emergency response measures to facilitate traffic flow.

This is an interim system to ensure smooth road traffic. In order to ensure smooth traffic on the Expressway, provisional arrangements would be made including road repair, removal of potholes particularly on shoulder. Societies and the CDA would jointly undertake civil works.
PWD and Pakistan Town would be equipped with slip lanes for entry and departure while extending PWD signal U-Turn to guarantee that traffic flows in these places continue uninterrupted. A support from the nearby housing projects together with CDA resources will conclude the interim project.
