PM Imran Khan Gives Approval for Sindh's Water Project
ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Premier Imran Khan endorsed a proposal suggested for a solution to the Sindh Province's water problems, including Karachi. He was tabled by Water Resources and Chairman of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA).
During a conference on water resources and issues in the country, the Prime Minister gave his assent.
Faisal Vawda, Minister of Water Resources, informed the prime minister about the country's water resources, particularly Karachi and the Sindh region.
The Chairman of the WAPDA informed the Prime Minister of the suggested initiative in the province of Sindh to solve water problems.
The Minister noted that the project would change Pakistan's destiny and its people. The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts made by WAPDA Minister and Chairman to present an efficient and comprehensive water solution project in Sindh.
Minister Muhammad Faisal Vawda, Muhammad Ashraf, Water Resources Secretary, Muhammad Ashraf and WAPDA chairman Lt. Gen. (Retd), and other senior officials from the PM Media Wing attended the meeting.
