DG Wild Life Orders to Upgrade Lohi Bher Wildlife Park

Rawalpindi: The media source reports that Punjab Wildlife and Parks Director General Suhail Ashraf announced a date of three weeks for the upgrade of the Lohi Bher Wildlife Park. He also released instant guidelines on the recovery of the lion safari.

He said the state of Punjab had already finalized its park growth strategy, which started in one or two days. The lion safari will be built during the first stage of this scheme and the zoo will be refurbished in the next stage, he added.

The Director-General articulated the wish that this project would serve as a "pleasant recreational outlet" for the citizens of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and that its main place would receive a big number of tourists.

According to the scheme, the highway leading to the Islamabad Expressway Park and the cages for the lions will be rebuilt. He said that the park would clean up its lakes and water flows and add the saplings to provide a more natural atmosphere.
