DC Multan Orders to Demolish Unlawful Buildings

Multan: Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Multan Amir Khattak has strict orders to demolish unlawful building structures in specified area bylaw, a news source reported.

The DC gave these orders in a meeting over a District Design and Commercialization Committee held on May 14.

DC Khattak has also designed a special district inspection committee to survey about buildings that violate the laws and did construction on building bylaws notified by the Multan Development Authority.

He also asked about the details of the approval status of commercial buildings and petrol pumps in the city. The district inspection committee team is to present its report in one week.

At the meeting, Khattak ordered the district officials to issue immediate notices to the owners of these buildings. After the inspection committee shares its findings, a crackdown will be started.

The DC instructed Multan Municipal Corporation and Multan Development Authority officials to develop a commercial plan to improve the city's infrastructure. Khattak has also directed the concerned officials to restrict from construction until all the departments are taken into confidence.
