Not PTM But Few Entities Are Working Against the State: Chief of Army Staff

What PTM has demanded is right and natural and both state and armed forces work with collaboration to solve the issues of tribal areas. But only a few state enemies are exploiting the feelings of terrorism victims.

On Thursday, Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that while it's "not an issue" with the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM), certain people "playing in foreign hands" exploit the feeling of the people who have suffered from the hands of terrorists.

These statements were made by the COAS during his visit to Peshawar while interacting with students at the Corps Auditorium.

According to the (ISPR) statement, the COAS said that “PTM itself is not an issue. Their highlighted are genuine and natural in the post-operation environment. However, few individuals playing in foreign hands are exploiting sentiments of the people who have actually suffered at the hands of terrorism and now need care.”

In recent days the news was circulated when Director-General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor’s held a press conference and said that the “time is up” for PTM. Army Chief’s statements came after two days the ISPR remarks.

In a press conference, ISPR talked in detail about the funds PTM received, its demand, and links with anti-Pakistan forces in India and Afghanistan. He advised PTM to remain within their constitutionally determined limits and must not challenge the writ of the state. “RAW and NDS are funding the PTM. Is it not true?” asked DG ISPR.
