The housing society's master plan was prepared and approved in 1996 but due to some location issues this housing society hasn't enjoy the same success as its other schemes.
AWT Rawalpindi is situated on the Sangjani motorway interchange which is 15km away from the main Islamabad city, located near the Islamabad sector D-18. The construction of houses has delayed due to the location issues as the society is very far away from the main city and only 5% of the construction process has done but due to the inauguration of Islamabad new airport it is expected that more investor will come towards investment in the society and the construction process will pick up pace. It is expected that the housing scheme becomes habitable in almost 5 years.
